The Gay Yoga Sangha was founded in 2017 as a way to get LGBTQ Yoga practitioners and teachers together. ‘Sangha’ is a Sanskrit word and it means ‘community’.

Yoga has always been a safe place for us to be physical because it is not jock-like; there is no toxic masculinity in the yoga world. This sangha will give you the opportunity to strengthen your Yoga practice and deepen your knowledge in the fun company of new friends with whom you share your LGBTQ+ identity and interest in Yoga.

Generally the sangha has come together for all-level  yoga classes led by me, with a guest teacher each time who brings something else to the session. This can be a special guided meditation, live musical accompaniment, or a short lecture on yoga philosophy, for example. I love collaborating, so this is where I like to make these special connections happen if I think the yoga students will enjoy them too!
